Welcome to the Carty Lab at the University of Michigan

Our NIH-funded laboratory focuses on molecular regulation of T cell fate decisions. We use in vitro and in vivo murine models to dissect the mechanism by which different cellular pathways regualate cell fate decisions of T lymphocytes. Ultimately, our goal is to identify novel pathways that can be targeted to improve immune-based therapies against cancer and other diseases.
